4 star bed and breakfast just over a mile from Llanwrtyd Wells, Home Stay at Lledgwial is nestled in the Cambrian Mountains between the Brecon Beacons and Elan Valley. It is accessible by car, train, bus and bicycle. Lledgwial has a large ensuite double or twin room with spacious bathroom and access to our library and extensive garden. Enjoy breakfast by our wood burning stove or in your own room.

Surrounded by rolling hills, rivers and bridleways, it is the perfect location for outdoor activities or just relaxing in a beautiful place. There are routes suited to all levels of walking, mountain biking and pony trekking, with exciting drives and cycle rides on the hillside roads. The surrounding countryside offers opportunities for bird watching, stargazing and wild swimming.

Wildlife and landscapes:
Watch the local birdlife in our garden; Greater Spotted Woodpeckers, Siskins, Coal Tits and Nuthatches are regular visitors, Pied Flycatchers and Redstarts often visit and nest in our bird boxes. At dusk bats dive around our pond and barn doors, and you may also be lucky to see a Badger, Polecats or Pine Martin, Red Squirrels are occasionally seen in the surrounding area.
Brecknockshire (http://www.brecknockwildlifetrust.org.uk/) and Radnorshire (http://rwtwales.org) Wildlife Trusts have many nature reserves in our local area, excellent for Spring and Summer flowers, insects, pond-life, birds and more.
Vicarage Meadows and Cae Pwll y Bo in the Irfon Valley are the closest sites to Lledgwial, with summer Orchids and Globe Flowers.
Visit one of the Red Kite feeding centres and watch the amazing acrobatic air display. The closest to Llanwrtyd are at Llanddeusant near Llandovery http://www.redkiteswales.co.uk/red_kites_information.html and near Rhayader http://www.gigrin.co.uk/
